Lieutenant, 1st Battalion Cambridgeshire Regiment. Died 08/08/1918. Age 25.

Buried in Ribemont Communal Cemetery Extension, Somme, France. Remembered on St Mary the Great War Memorial, Cambridge and on a family grave in Histon Road Cemetery.

Son of George Green and Flora Gertrude Rayner of Grange Road, Cambridge.

On the headstone, IN LOVING / MEMORY OF / GEORGE GREEN RAYNER / DIED AUG 22ND 1922 AGED 59 / THERE FOREVER OH HOW BLEST / THEY WHO FIND IN THEE THEIR REST / AND OF HIS WIFE / FLORA GERTRUDE RAYNER / DIED MARCH 31ST 1936 AGED 62.
