PARSONS  Percy

Two cousins, James, the son of William and Mary Parsons of 24 Histon Road, and Percy, the son of John and Eliza Parsons of 42 French’s Road, Cambridge.

Remembered on a family grave in Histon Road Cemetery.

Lance Corporal, 1st Battalion Cambridgeshire Regiment. Died 31/07/1917. Age 29.

No known grave.  Commemorated on Ypres Menin Gate Memorial, Ieper, Belgium.

 

Percy Parsons

Drummer, Queen’s (Royal West Surrey) Regiment. Died 2/10/1914. Age 25.

No known grave.  Commemorated on Ypres Menin Gate Memorial, Ieper, Belgium.

Memorial inscription at B8.149: Curb with vase. On east face of west end, IN LOVING MEMORY OF. On south face of north side, WILLIAM PARSONS DIED NOV 13TH 1926 AGED 71 YEARS ALSO HIS BELOVED WIFE MARY ANN PARSONS DIED JAN 3RD 1930 AGED 70 YEARS. On west face of east end, REST IN PEACE. On north face of south side, ALSO PRIVATE P. W. PARSONS AND LANCE CORPORAL J. PARSONS KILLED IN FRANCE. On the vase, ROSE RIX / 1880-1959.
